The Need for Car Interior Air Filters Cabin filters have been principally conceived to offset problems relating to pollen allergies, and thanks to their high degree of efficiency, have become very important in the reduction of pollutants inside the car itself. Today the concentration of pollutant elements on roads and in towns is becoming an ever growing problem to which drivers are increasingly exposed. So that thanks to the use of such car interior filters, the concentration of both pollen and many other pollutant agents such as PM10 dust, combustion residue particles etc. are greatly reduced. So that it is obvious that the use of filters is essential to ensure the quality of our car interiors. The Mistral filter range is produced by the Campi company, that has since 1992 specialized in the production of cabin air filters, and it also supplies some of the leading names in the After-market sector as well as leading car manufacturers. The Mistral filters are made according to the highest standards in order to ensure a cabin filter of the highest quality. There are two types of Mistral filters: particulate filters and combined filters with activated carbon.

The particulate filters are made using a highly efficient filtering material that is capable of filtering very fine particles of around 2,5 micron with an efficiency of 75%, and thanks to the generous amount of filtering material present in the cartridge, it has one of the longest lives on the market in terms of the number of kms travelled under normal conditions. The combined filters with activated carbon consist of a particle filtering material, which is always of the greatest efficiency, combined with granules of activated carbon, which has a kind of “sandwich” effect, that as well as removing the finer particles also absorbs any odours, so that we cannot perceive them; in this case also the presence of a considerable amount of filtering material combined with the activated carbon component 200/250 g/m2 ensures a long life and top performance.
The Mistral filters are constructed according to the stringent standards laid down by the leading car manufacturing companies, this ensures that the Mistral filters are perfectly compatible with the filter-holder compartment. All the materials used in the production of Mistral filters are non-toxic and principally consist of nonwoven polyester fabrics. The filtering materials used have been specifically developed for car interior filtering and are clearly free from toxic binding agents and resins.
The range of Mistral filters in the particle version covers the majority of the car models in circulation. While the activated carbon combined version is available solely for standard fitted vehicles, otherwise there would be a risk of overloading the ventilation system.
